I am an experienced designer who strongly believes in the beauty of everyday things and design as a means to improve daily life for everyone.

I am an allround creative thinker with 8 years of experience in multi-disciplinary design projects for a wide variety of clients and backgrounds. I strongly believe in the beauty of everyday things and design as a mean to improve daily life for everyone.
As a designer I excel in exploring user experiences, providing forward thinking solutions, and creating designs that are both engaging, beautiful, and functional. I believe that the power of design can deal with cultural, contextual and individual challenges.

In my current role as Design Lead at Mijksenaar I confidently navigate creative processes, guide teams in exploring design solutions and deliver results. During my career I have developed strong communication skills, enabling me to explain complex situations in a understandable way and build relationships based on this understanding. I have extensive project experience in both leading and doing, from analysis and site visits to strategy and concept, from design development to realisation and collaboration with manufactuters. Additionally, my international experience has equipped me with a global perspective, enabling me to effectively navigate and address diverse customer landscapes.

In my role as designer I had the opportunity to work with renowned architects, product designers, interior designers, urban planners and type designers. In general I had the pleasure of always working in multi-disciplinary teams for clients from different industries.

Coming from a world-renowned wayfinding design agency I have extensive experience in working for a variety of clients and industries, like Rijksmuseum, Dubai Future Foundation, Booking.com and airports in New York, Mexico and Jamaica. In these projects I keep the relation between user experience, context and client always central in my approach. Wayfinding is a discipline that is often cross-platform and always user centric, in my designs I explore how this user interacts with the environment.

Next to my role in projects, I am in the positions of both team lead and mentor. As a team lead I represent the team of designers to the management, discuss overall well-being, but also creative strategy and way of working. Being a mentor I accompany several fellow designers at Mijksenaar, guiding them in their development and setting goals.
